One that was fun and very tongue-in-cheek was answering questions for The Hazlitt Offensive. Following the lead of Inside the Actor\u2019s Studio, where James Lipton fires his trademark index-card questions \u2013 fashioned after the Proust Questionnaire \u2013 at guests, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a title=\"The Hazlitt Offensive\" href=\"http:\/\/www.randomhouse.ca\/hazlitt\/blog\/hazlitt-offensive-linda-holeman\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">the answers authors come up with<\/span><\/a><\/span> on The Hazlitt Offensive are not meant to be taken too seriously!<\/p>\n<p>The National Post does a weekly book page called \u201cThe Afterword Reading Society\u201d. What\u2019s different and very cool about this page is that it\u2019s not a review, but is made up of questions readers ask the author. There are also stats generated about the book, and, finally, the readers get to rate it (scary). The book is also compared to others of a similar topic \u2013 all in all it\u2019s a pretty interesting and innovative take for highlighting a new book. The online <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a title=\"NP Afterword Reading Society\" href=\"http:\/\/arts.nationalpost.com\/2014\/07\/15\/the-afterword-reading-society-the-devil-on-her-tongue-by-linda-holeman\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">National Post Afterword Reading Society site<\/span><\/a><\/span> also lets the readers sum up the book in a tweet (I can\u2019t escape it).<\/p>\n<p>This month I was warmly welcomed back to my hometown of Winnipeg for some media. Even though it was way too early in the morning, I had fun at with Derek Taylor at Global Television and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a title=\"CTV Winnipeg Interview July 16, 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/winnipeg.ctvnews.ca\/video?clipId=399964&amp;binId=1.1164782&amp;playlistPageNum=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">with Holly Bernier at CTV<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>I also had a launch of <i>The Devil on Her Tongue<\/i> at the amazing McNally Robinson Booksellers.
